St. Michael Ukrainian Catholic Church Choir Quartet
Dr. Juri Popowych conducts the multi-voice musical ensemble of singers during the sacred Divine Liturgy. As master cantor, he also devotes himself to the priest and parishioners during Holy Days, Weddings, Parish Events, Church Dinners, Traditional Christmas Caroling/Kolyada, Annual Blessing of Homes, Bi-annual Blessing of Graves, Panahyda Services, Mass of Christian Burial and Interment at our parish cemetery. St. Michael's is truly blessed to have such a dedicated Dyak and ask God to grant him many happy years! Choir Loft Design: The convex out pouched banister choir loft depicts significant Ukrainian Catholic Church leaders and recent martyrs for our faith. In the center is the Ukrainian national symbol, the "tryzub - trident surrounded by a wreath of thorns depicting the suffering and struggle for independence of the Ukrainian people positioned on the Kozak cross, the highest military orders in Ukraine's fight for independence from 1917-1921 |
